The Way of the Samurai

As a kid I have always loved flying monkey, eagle, snake, praying mantis and tiger kicks from master shoaling monks and different martial art styles, but what I hadn't noticed was the uniqueness of the Japanese fighting style. The way of the samurai in which a particular sword or katana is held with two hands and not one. This stance pushes all the weight of the particular swordsman to his blade thereby creating a lethal and effective strike. Now the
aim of this post does not seek to show you the good and effective sword technique of the Japanese, it seeks to
enhance ones ideals about life by relating and comparing ideals.
Now we all face physical challenges every day, and that is why at some point in time it wouldn't hurt to think like a samurai.
Now the word samurai mean “to serve”, service to body and mind. Complete discipline of the body and soul.
It is most effective using:

The Bushido code

1.       Justice- Seek to have a certain level of morality and speak up when you know things can be done in a better way.

2.       Courage – courage to face business challenges, courage to evolve with the times, courage to learn, courage to face your adversaries, courage to contribute your own ideas and quota in a brainstorming meeting, courage to ask that beautiful lady out after 5 years of drooling, courage! courage! courage!!

3.       Mercy – kindness goes a long way in everything we do, a little compassion once in a while won’t hurt.

4.       Politeness- I think we get the gist for this one.

5.       Honesty and Sincerity – Stealing and lying, whether it is small Maggi or onshore and offshore accounts, it doesn't matter.

6.       Honor – No short cuts bro! The long way can be bumpy but effective.

7.       Loyalty – Understand the Bro code. Bro

8.       Self-control – Anger and rage shouldn't rule your world all the time, because if you learn to master your emotions well you can glow with pride.

Outside the Bushido code is the design of the samurai Amour which is extremely flexible which enables for easy mobility for the battle field. You can be flexible and learn all you can.

Every samurai was encouraged to have the highest level of education. So do not let the fact that you train on the sword of life keep your mind from learning more.
